Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actress for over 20 years. She is best known for her role as Skyler White on the AMC drama series Breaking Bad for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. As well as playing Martha Bullock and Jean Ward, she has appeared in The Practice. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in Love with Acting in Preparatory before her Family moved to Ohio. Her studies in theatre took place through Northwestern University. A semester was spent at the British American Drama Academy. Anna started her acting career working in the Chicago area theatres for a couple of years. She then moved on to television and film. Anna's first major part was Arden, in Down the Shore. She appeared on 29 episodes. In addition, she was on Seinfeld and NYPD Blue. It wasn't until the late 1990s that she took on the role of The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood for two seasons. The show was recast in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. In addition, she was a part of the Deadwood movie and Sully. Gunn was also in the David Schwimmer directed film Sex With Strangers. Gunn also played a part in the play Numbered Day. It is which is a series of audio dramas. Breaking Bad is often centered on the relationships of Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their strained bond and final break-up echoes the final years in Walter White's life.
